« Our research explores metabolism renegotiation in obesity, insulin resistance, diabetes and their cardiovascular  and renal complications. We have shown that adipose tissues topography influences retinoid metabolism (Sima A et al.2011). Our retinoid treatment on ob/ob mice decreases body fat, visceral adiposity, serum RBP4, ROL and insulin resistance and induces beige/brown fat, also restoring cardio-protective OT-NP system and preventing cardiac apoptosis and fibrosis (Manolescu et al 2010,2014).
